Our second July meeting will be a debate meeting. This meeting includes a longer prepared debate. The topic (rescheduled from last month) -

Resolved: that the Senate should pass and the President should sign H.R. 2454 the Cap and Trade bill that the House passed earlier this year.

The teams for this month are as follows -

Affirmative: Eric Lomori and Gaurav Ranjan (DS is Carl Nail)

Negative: Ken Tompkins and Gil Eakins (DS is Scott Moffatt)

Those of you planning to compete in our club-level contests for the Humorous and Evaluation events should also get in touch with Marty and begin preparing for your presentation - the contests are tentatively scheduled for 03 August 2009. Either Marty or I can answer any questions you may have related to Toastmasters contests. All of our paid members are eligible for either contest.

A reminder - our meeting location has changed. We will be meeting temporarily at the condominium clubhouse of one of our members. The clubhouse is located near 430 Lotus Lane, Mountain View, CA 94043. If you need directions, let me know by contacting me through the link below my photo at the left, and I will send you a copy.
